Mugwort ~Artemisia vulgaris,
Known as a very complex herb, woven with mysticism and mystery, Artemisia has many uses. It’s been used for smudging, protection and inviting lucid dreams. We like to use Mugwort as a dream inducing tonic. We add it to our bed time tea, and can sprinkle a few drops around your pillow to further enhance our dream time. It has been used throughout history, and has been referred to as the women’s herb, used to bring on menses, and regulate a woman’s cycle; it’s not to be taken during pregnancy or lactation. According to some European traditions,
Mugwort was used as a magical protective herb. Roman soldiers placed it in their sandals, and a garland was worn around the waist of John the Baptist.
